PANOPTICA ORCHESTRA stelar group of the 10th Fiesta de la Música Los Cabos
In a press conference at the upscale sports bar and eatery District Eat + Drink, Promotora Cultural Vivarte proudly announced PANOPTICA ORCHESTRA as stellar group.of the 10th edition of Los Cabos Music Festival. on Saturday June 23 in the historic center of San Jose del Cabo. The Panoptica Orchestra group led by Roberto A. Mendoza, founder of the band Nortec Collective, was nominated for the Latin Grammy, winner of the Best Mexican Electronic Album award in 2011 at the Indie O Music Awards.
In addition to the star group, around 100 musical projects have been registered, including the participation of 2 international projects from Argentina and Caracas, 16 national bands, and more than 60 state and local bands.
The musical programming includes 2017 revelation Ti - Nahui, local favorite Los Herederos, Andy, Color Hermano, Daniel D’lizanka, Federico Foglia, Ubaldo, Alfred Lover, Leones Negros, just to name a few.
Each year, the Music Festival focuses on one theme. In 2018, the vindication of values and the awareness of our environment will be addressed. Highlight the values that Mexican society shares such as honesty, respect and solidarity will be the central axis of the 10th. Edition, likewise it will be highlighted that the festival is done from the heart and without commercial intentions.
The "Fête de la Musique" was originated by the French Minister of Culture Jack Lang in 1982 around a symbolic date, the summer solstice, with the intention of taking music out of private spaces and taking it to the streets. The Music Festival has grown considerably as it has become a national event in several countries (Luxembourg, Italy, Greece, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia) and has been carried by more than 800 cities including New York, Berlin, Mexico, and of course Los Cabos.
